Doctrinal Distinctives

We believe in the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are equal in essence and distinctive in person.

We believe in the virgin birth, sinless life, vicarious death, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus took our place on the cross and paid the sin debt that we owed God. This substitutionary atoning work makes forgiveness of sin possible for all of humanity.

We believe that salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ alone, plus nothing and minus nothing. The conditions of salvation are repentance and faith.

We believe in a literal heaven to be gained and a literal hell to be shunned.

We believe that the Bible is totally true and trustworthy. It is “God-breathed”, and has been divinely protected from error. As a result, it contains everything we need for life and godliness.

As a cooperating Great Commission Baptist congregation, we affirm the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message as our general statement of belief.

Austin & Amy

Austin (Lead planter) and Amy grew up in Cincinnati where they met in 2002 when they were 13. They married in August 2008, and welcomed their son, Easton, in May 2012.

Austin served in student and missions roles in several churches in Ohio before moving to Florence, SC to be the Church Planting Resident at Cornerstone Baptist Church under Dr. Bill Curtis.

Through their shared ministry experiences, education and residential training, Austin and Amy are confident God is opening the door for them to return to the Cincinnati area to plant Grace Church.

Austin has an undergraduate degree in Operations Management, an M.A. in Church Ministry and Discipleship, and an M.Div. from Liberty University. He loves fitness, sports, coaching Easton in most sports, and is passionate a Red’s fan.

Amy has an associate’s degree, and is pursuing the completion of a Finance degree at Liberty University. She has led hospitality teams and is currently serving with Cornerstone Baptist Church in finances and children’s ministry. She loves coffee, going on walks, and playing outside with Easton.
